Ryan Lamb
Coordinator, Fitness Programs
Working in both fitness and campus recreation is the most rewarding combination.
In fitness, I get to help people find ways to use movement as a way to better themselves physically and mentally. Whether it’s a way to reduce stress, feel stronger, or just move, I can help find a program that suits members specific needs.
In campus recreation, I get to see students we serve use recreation and movement to improve their time at LSU and student employees grow and develop as young professionals.
Working in both fitness and campus recreation is the most rewarding combination.

You Would Never Know...
Outside of fitness, my biggest passion is music. I love going to as many concerts and musicals as I can. I have played piano since I was 7 years old and the ukulele since I was 16.
If I Didn't Have This Job...
Before finding my Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management in college program, I spent two years studying Communication Sciences and Disorders on track to be a speech pathologist. My favorite parts of this program were taking three semesters of American Sign Language and learning about Deaf culture.
Food Brings Us Together
Food Network was (and still is) a staple in my house. I grew up always helping my mom in the kitchen, learning how to cook and bake at a young age. She taught me how food brings people together and that there’s always room for dessert. She even took my siblings and I out of school once when we were younger to meet Emril Lagasse and get his cookbook signed at our local supermarket.
