Rob Beadle

Placid Refining

 

After having begun his career upstream working as an engineer at an oilfield service company, in 1998, Rob Beadle joined the Placid engineering group. In 2008, he was promoted to engineering manager, which included oversight of the mechanical integrity group. In January of 2014, he was promoted to refinery manager, where he managed all aspects of manufacturing including operations, engineering, maintenance, quality control, safety and purchasing. 

In January of 2019, Rob was elected vice-president and general manager, a position that oversees the entire Placid operation, including planning, crude supply, marketing, refining, accounting, IT, and environmental. In November 2021, he was promoted to CEO & president of Placid. 

Rob graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisiana (Lafayette) in 1995.  He also earned an M.B.A. from Louisiana State University in 2018.  

He sits on the Board of Directors of the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) and the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA).
